Ashley Kirkwood Named to Crain's Chicago Business "20 in their 20s"

Claire Bushey of Crain’s Chicago Business writes:

“Ashley Kirkwood has three trials and an appeal under her belt. That's unusual for any Big Law attorney—let alone a second-year associate-when most cases don't end up in court. The Flossmoor native assisted on cases defending Allstate and Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Texas—the latter three months after taking the bar. She took the lead representing a prisoner pro bono before the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, and played a key role representing another prisoner in federal court. The jury awarded that prisoner $73,000—35 times more than the Wisconsin Department of Justice's settlement offer. Kirkwood is ‘a rock star,’ says Precious Jacobs, a partner at Jenner & Block. Among young attorneys, ‘it's rare for people to be as vocal as Ashley. She has no fear. She moves with purpose at all times.’”
